The 6th round of the Masters Ranking Series took place at the Ivy Rooms yesterday 24th February. Just 19 players participated in this event which usually commands up to 32 players. The number one seed, Mark Tuite made an early exit when he was defeated by Thurles man Ger Delaney 3-0 in the quarter-final. Nigel Power emerged the overall winner in a very close and exciting final against Anthony Bonnar. Anthony went 2-0 ahead. Nigel battled back and levelled the match 2-2. Anthony went 52 ahead in the final frame, miscued and let Nigel in to level the score for a respotted black. But it was Nigel who eventually potted the black to take the 6th event. Both men also shared the high break with 70.
