The Republic of Ireland players performed excellent again on Day 2 with Michael Judge making a 111 break in the 2017 EBSA Men's Snooker Championships in the Hilton Hotel Nicosia in Cyprus. Europe's top players are battling it out for this European Title, the 2year main Pro Tour Ticket and a wild card for the World Games.
Michael Judge opened his campaign today with two superb victories over Antonis Poullos from Cyprus 4-2 with breaks of 80,62, 60, he then beat Ivan Kakovsky from Russia 4-1 with breaks of 73 and 111.
Brendan O Donoghue played solid to beat Georgi Velichkov from Bulgaria 4 frames to 0.
TJ Dowling won his two matches today against Teodor Chomovski from Bulgaria 4-2 with a top break of 64, he then followed it up with a 4-1 victory over Gianluca Manoli from Italy with breaks of 57, 59 and 69.
John Farrell had two good wins today against Konstantin Afanasjev from Lithuania winning 4-1 and he followed that up with a great 4-0 victory over Conor McCormack from N Ireland with a top break of 70.
Philip Browne received a walk over after his Cyprus opponent withdrew from the event.
National Coach PJ Nolan said all the players are playing very good and we had seven wins from the seven matches today plus Michael’s century was awesome.
