The European Billiards & Snooker Association (EBSA) Board of Directors and the Cyprus Snooker Association (CSA) have the pleasure in inviting you to send players to take part in: THE 2017 EUROPEAN INDIVIDUAL SNOOKER U18, U21 & MEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
PLAYERS: Four (4) players for the Under 18s Championships (players must be under 18 on 31st December 2016). - Four (4) players to Under 21’s Championship (players must be under 21 on 31st December 2016). - Three (3) players + one (1) reserve to Men’s Championships (players must be aged 13 on the 13th March 2016).
Reserve players will be confirmed by EBSA after the closing date. Any requests for additional players will not be considered until week commencing 13th February 2017. All entries should be made using the EBSA online entry form. All participants, including referees and supporters must be included on the travel and accommodation form.
CLOSING DATE FOR PLAYERS ENTRIES: 10th February 2016
REFEREES: A maximum of 34 international referees will be invited by the CSA. Referees accommodation will be available the day before the Opening Ceremony/championships commence (Saturday 4th March), although it is expected that referees will arrive on Sunday 5th March in time for the Referees Meeting. Any referees wishing to have single occupancy will be required to pay 50% of the full cost of a single room for the duration of their stay. Accommodation will be provided on a Bed & Breakfast basis, with 2 referees sharing a room.
One additional meal per day will be provided. Referees from outside of Cyprus (who stay for the full duration of the Championships) will receive a travelling allowance of €200, to be paid during the championships. Referees must be members of the EBSA and will be confirmed by the EBSA Referees Committee.

Please see following information in relation to the Championships. CSA have asked me to assure you, that they will do everything to make your visit one to remember.

Sunday 12th March: Men’s Championships Commence / Players Meeting and Opening Ceremony (and U18s/U21s Closing Ceremony) Monday 13th March - Sunday 19th March - matches Sunday 19th March: Final of the Men’s championship and closing ceremony.
Please note the following entry fees will be payable to EBSA before the start of each event. If members wish to pay entry fees by electronic transfers, entry fees must be received and confirmed by EBSA by 27th February. No transfers will be accepted after this date. €60 (sixty euro) per player for the U21 and Men’s Championships €40 (forty euro) per player for the U18s Championship No player will be allowed to take part if payment is not made.
IF PLAYERS ARE WITHDRAWN AFTER THE CLOSING DATE OF 10 th FEBRUARY 2017, YOU WILL BE REPSONSIBLE TO PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT PLAYER. IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT PLAYER YOU WILL STILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE ENTRY FEE VENUE AND HOTEL ACCOMMODATION HILTON PARK NICOSIA
TRANSPORT Only one airport has been selected: Larnaca International Airport Transfers Airport – Hotel – Airport will also be available at a cost of €20 per person and all participants will be greeted by the CSA representatives upon arrival subject to flight and arrival information being provided on the EBSA Travel and Accommodation Form. VISAS Visas are not required by most European countries but please check. FOOD A good meal can be secured for €12 to €15. CURRENCY The currency in Cyprus is EURO (€).
WEATHER Weather can be changeable, please check with your TV weather programme.
REFEREES Referees will be expected to work either two or three sessions on alternate days. On days where referees are working three sessions, they will be required to work two sessions (usually morning sessions) on, two sessions off, and work the last session of the day. Where referees are working two sessions, they will usually work the third and fourth session.
PRACTICE FACILITIES At the recommendation of the Players Sub-Committee, a practice schedule will be published by the Tournament Office detailing set times for countries to practice throughout the course of the day. Details of nearby clubs will be available for players wishing to undertake additional practice (charges may apply).
COACHING EBSA Coaches will provide free coaching sessions each day throughout the course of each Championships. Countries will be able to book coaching in advance for their group(s) of players.
Prize Money Prize money to Winners and Runner-up will be paid by bank transfer immediately at the conclusion of each Championship. The Prize funds for each championship will be distributed as follows: 2017 European Snooker Championships European U18 and U21 Snooker Championships Highest Break 50.00 € + Trophy Last 16 Not less than Entry fee
