The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association (RIBSA) who are the governing body of Ladies Snooker in Ireland held their first Ladies Development day of the season on the 23rd of October in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
Irish National Coach PJ Nolan and Ladies National Coach Michelle Sherwin coached the skills of the game Stance, Grip, Cue Action, Cue Ball Control and Potting Skills to the players from 11am to 4pm.
The cost to each player was €5.00 and each player received a training booklet and coaching manual.
PJ working on teaching the players to come in on line, Develop a solid bridge hand and Cue Action. All the players said they enjoyed the day and learnt a lot of information to improve their game.
RIBSA will hold more development days later in the season and Jim Leacy RIBSA Chairman said RIBSA are 100% committed to help grow the ladies game in Ireland and with PJ’s and Michelle’s help the girls and in good hands.
Second Ranking Event of the Season
RIBSA will hold their Second Ladies ranking event of the season on Sunday the 2nd of October in Newbridge CYMS. The Tournament will start at 12 noon and everyone is welcome to attend. You can now text your Enter to Michelle Sherwin on 087 414 0864
