The AOH bounced back with an emphatic victory over Youghal CYMS 'B' on Morrision's Island, considering that they lost to Youghal the week earlier the response of an eight frames to nil victory was a warning to the league, not to take the AOH lightly especially at home.
Douglas 'A' fell again to the Crucible, but after the eight frames to one frame defeat two weeks ago, in week four Karl Busteed's boys managed to win five frames last Thursday evening at nthe Crucible.
Its early days yet, but already the Crucible look formidable. With just two games played and five points won, the Crucible will be the tester to the Youghal CYMS 'A' side who so far are foot perfect, but have beaten their two fellow club sides as expected. The big test will come for Youghal CYMS 'A' in the coming weeks when the opposition will be the Crucible, Douglas 'A' and the AOH.
Having said that you can only beat the opposition in front of you and the Youghal CYMS 'B' side will test all the sides this year especially at home, which could be a big help to the Youghal CYMS 'A' side.

League fixtures suspended next week for the Killarney PTC

As there are so many key players in the CBSA League participating in the Players Tour Championship (PTC8) in Killarney this Thursday, the 'Cork Billiards and Snooker Association' wisely decided to postpone play for one week to give their players a chance to prepare for and play in the PTC.
The World Snooker event starts this Thursday when nine Cork league players will be trying their best to win their two matches to make it through to the first round proper on Friday and Saturday mornings.
It must be said that the Crucibles David Cassidy and Greg Casey got tough draws against Colm Gilcreest and Jamie O'Neill respectively, but if the two Cork lads play to their best, they will have every chance.
The PTC will see every professional in the game arrive in Killarney for this event, because other events the PTC's are 'World Ranking' events and we wish all the Cork cue-men every success.
