A string of Irish players made their bid to win a ticket on next seasons professional snooker tour in Event 1 of Q-school at The Capital Venue in Gloucester this week. Jason Devaney, TJ Dowling, Martin McCrudden and John Sutton were putting their skills up against the best of the best over in Gloucester. John and Martin played incredible snooker to qualify for the last 16 tonight but unfortunately Martin got beat by Zhang Anda from China 4 -2.
John Sutton won his Last 16 match against Michael Tomlinson which included breaks of 95 and 112 in a 4 frames to 1 victory to set a match against Craig Steadman with the winner receiving a 2 year Main tour Ticket.
John was beaten this morning 4 frames to nil today but he will be flying the flag with all the boys in event two which starts on Staurday
Everyone involved in RIBSA and all of Irish Snooker would like to wish John good luck tomorrow and everyone will be cheering him on.
